Life Update + Van Update

Hey guys! It has been awhile since I have given you a life update + van update!

We finished our Van conversion on March 12th! The total time it took us to build out our van was 9 weeks! I'll be honest, Robby mostly did all the work. I just painted, stained, and filmed for Youtube during that time.

In March, we traveled for 3 weeks. We drove to Florida, Alabama, Texas, and back to Tennessee. We enjoyed seeing friends, enjoying the beach, and spending time with family.

In April, I had a girls trip planned to head to Nashville for the weekend. While I was in Nashville, Robby and his Dad tested out a campsite in Heber Springs, Arkansas with the van. He came back from the camping trip with some good feedback before we set off out west.

The main reason we haven't already set out on our journey, was because of my wisdom teeth surgery, which happened on April 15th. I am still recovering and can't wait to get back to eating normal. That was a set back. I am happy it's over and now we can move on. We are prepping to leave on Monday. Our van life journey will officially begin! I have been running errands for the van this week buying items I did not really think about from the start, such as, bath towels, face wash towels, hand towels to wash our dishes, cups, measuring cups, kitchen utensils, command hooks, and the list can go on! It's the small things you're used to in a house, but not in a van, and you still need these items. This is just a completely different way of living. I am excited to write more and take you along the way. I will remind you, I have NEVER camped before. This is all new to me. I hope my experience can encourage those who may be struggling to do something out of their comfort zone. I am nervous, but also excited. If I can do it, you can do it!
