The last few days have been exciting in the #vanlife world! We added insulation, window framing, and the main framing structure of the van. The whole process has been interesting, but window framing in a van is, by far, the most complicated process I've watched and helped Rob accomplish. Whew. Glad to say it's done and I attached a photo above for you to see. We also had family visit us and help unload our Pod into a storage unit over the weekend. I will be honest, I was a little emotional seeing the Pod drop my whole house ( junk) off in KY. It reminded me of all our friends in Texas who spent two days loading that monster Pod! It also reminded me how thankful I was for the help we did receive and really shows how much your friends love you. Okay, moving on... The weekend was great and like I said, we accomplished a lot in the last few days. We are excited to continue building the van and seeing more progress each day.
This morning, January 25th, We went to Starbucks for coffee and to read our Bible. I am currently studying 1 Peter and using the Daily Grace Co bible study. This is my love language. I will never turn down these kind of dates. I ordered a Brown Sugar Shaken Espresso with Oat Milk and... this may be my new "go-to" drink. You should try it. The best part, it's dairy free so I feel a little healthy. ha!! Robby and I spent about an hour this morning reading and talking. It is refreshing.
I am writing this blog to share what this week has in store for us. I received my first sponsorship item from the Wander Club ( whooo hooo!!) and I am so thrilled to be partnering with their team. I will be creating content tomorrow for them and posting a giveaway on our instagram page at the end of the week. We also head back to Memphis to see our families, show them progress on the van build, and register our vehicle. We leave tomorrow ( Wednesday) and will head back on Sunday.
