How to get the most out of Magic Kingdom. I wanted to start with Magic Kingdom because it is my favorite park ( like most people). Again, I am no expert about Disney. My first time to ever visit Walt Disney World was in January 2021. I have what my sister says, "you have caught the Disney bug," and unfortunately it's a sickness you never get over. ha!

Magic Kingdom

Magic Kingdom hours 9a.m.-9p.m. ( but always check, the hours can change)

If you are staying at a Disney Resort Hotel, you will have transportation to all the parks and the opportunity to enter the park early before the public. Bus, boat, skyline, etc. Transportation leaves at 8:00a.m. so your hotel will tell you, but they ACTUALLY leave at 7:45a.m. why do they not tell you? Don't know, but that's why I'm telling you. Be at your transportation location at 7:15a.m. Wait in line, be the first one on! One tip would be to find where you will transport from to every park the day you arrive, so you are not wandering around at 7:00a.m... know where you're going. Leaving at 7:45a.m. will get you to Magic Kingdom and in the park at 8:00a.m!

Entering Magic Kingdom

Wow, what a sight to see. Main Street USA, the view of Cinderella's Castle, and the smell of Starbucks coffee all at once....is just wonderful. Just pause and take it all in. You'll thank me later.

Rope drop

Rope dropping is fun, however if you only have one day in Magic Kingdom, I would take 3omin-45min enjoying Main Street USA, grabbing coffee at Starbucks ( while the line isn't long) and taking photos in front of the castle while no one is around. THEN around 8:45a.m, head over to rope drop. Now this is where I'm going to tell you the list of rides I would recommend.

After enjoying your morning, head over to the Rope drop for Fantasyland. If you don't know where that is, download the Disney World App and memorize the parks maps/main locations. Magic Kingdom has Main Street USA, Fantasyland, Frontierland, Tomorrowland, Liberty Square and Adventureland. Fantasyland is to the right of the Castle across the bridge.

When the rope drops at 9:00a.m. head to Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. This is the newest attraction in Magic Kingdom, the lines will form fast, but you shouldn't wait longer than 20min-3omin ( this is an estimated time guess and remember they now have the Genie Plus) after rope drop.

After riding that attraction, I would head over to Frontierland. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad & Splash Mountain, are some of my absolute favorite attractions to ride. These rides do typically get busier throughout the day. I would also ride these rides first thing in the morning. Because they are outdoor rides, they will shut down if you run into the occasional Orlando afternoon rain/storm showers. Next I would head over to Pirates of the Caribbean. This ride is always busy too. It's a classic and man.... I love the smell of this ride. After Pirates, I would go over to Jungle Cruise, and while you're in the Jungle Cruise line, consider putting in your lunch/snack mobile order on your Disney World App to be picked up after.

Favorite snack/lunch places to eat, Casey's Corner, Sleepy Hollow, and Liberty Square Market. These are my top places. You can see all dining options on a list on your app to help guide you.

I would suggest getting a reservation (need to do well in advance before your trip) for the Be Our Guest Restaurant. It is a three course meal and it is AH-MAZING!!!

After lunch/snack I would head over to the Haunted Mansion. Another great ride. This is my and my dads favorite ride ( I have a lot of favorite rides) and if it were up to us, we would decorate and live in Haunted Mansions. This attraction is good and slow after a meal. I do love it. Peter Pan's Flight is another good slow/cute ride. By this point in the day, you will be getting tired. Enjoy the kid/less intense rides.

Under the Sea - Journey of The Little Mermaid

The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh

It's a Small World (if you dare)

Mad Tea Party (may be intense after lunch)

After enjoying some down time, you can head over to Tomorrowland.

Main attraction here is Space Mountain. This one is fun. A little rocky ( Disneyland Space Mountain is better and smoother....sorry.....), but it's fun and iconic, so you HAVE to do it. Monsters Inc Laugh Floor is cute and fun. It's a show, so a good place for air conditioning, a place to sit, and a good laugh....haha! Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin. This ride is busy and most likely is because the new Buzz movie is coming out.

What Georganna likes to do in the afternoon in Magic Kingdom.

In the afternoons, I like to mobile order a Pineapple Dole Whip from Aloha Isle ( Dole Whip is vegan and non-dairy) You have to try it. It's the best treat ever. You can only get Dole Whip in Magic Kingdom or at the Disney's Polynesian Resort Hotel. After I get my treat, I walk to Main Street USA and shop! I love to look around all the stores on Main Street. Sometimes a Calvacade ( Disney street parade) will come through and those are fun to watch, especially while eating Dole Whip.

Okay guys, those are the main rides & food places I would suggest in Magic Kingdom. Some of the rides will be so fun, you're going to have to ride them again and please do!!! Use your time to its fullest! I would also suggest if you are going to Magic Kingdom more than just for one day, I would skip the fireworks for one evening and ride your favorite attractions again while the lines are less busy.

Thankfully, Walt Disney World has brought back so many events since I have been. You will never get bored. I believe Meet and Greets are back which is something else you will have to factor into your day. When I visited in January 2021 it was at 25% capacity and in September 2021 it was about 65% capacity. Now, it is just reaching back to 100% capacity. It will be BUSY. The Genie Plus was not an option for us when I visited the parks last year. A few Vloggers I enjoy following, who go to the parks every day, will tell you to purchase the Genie Plus. Especially if you have only planned to do one park per day. You may want to add that to your tickets.

You also don't have to wear masks now which is great.

List of Rides I suggested you HAVE to do. if not once, twice.

Seven Dwafs Mine Train

Big Thunder Mountain

Splash Mountain

Pirates of the Caribbean

Haunted Mansion

Jungle Cruise

Space Mountain
